Karndean Designflooring announced as Sponsor of CDW 2019

A global leader in luxury vinyl flooring, Karndean Designflooring is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week and will be demonstrating the versatility and beauty of its authentic flooring designs.

After marking its own anniversary at last year’s event by stepping back in time 45 years with a replica Morris Oxford van, Karndean Designflooring returns for its 9th consecutive year to help the event celebrate its own special anniversary.

With a prominent and central position within the Project venue in the garden of St James, Clerkenwell’s parish church, Karndean Designflooring invites visitors to discover and experience its latest stunning floors inspired by natural stones, mixed materials and concrete, as well as traditionally hand-crafted wood floors.

Karndean’s designers travel the world for exceptional floors that inspire and delight, seek out expressive and intriguing forms in the natural world to influence unique floor designs that combine an authentic look, with intricate patterns and realistic embossed finishes, together with cutting edge design.

A recently introduced design, Reclaimed Chestnut, is a wonderful example of this development process. The exquisite design was inspired by a visit to the historic barns and factories in the rural heart of North America. The original boards featured an array of cracks, worm holes and blemishes which were the result of dehydration, beetle infestation and weathering. This contrast of the attractive grain structure with the nail holes and raft marks from previous use is now faithfully replicated in this sophisticated flooring design.

Being scarce in its natural form, reclaimed American chestnut floors are often collated from many sources and feature a mix and match pattern of planks so, for additional authenticity, the Reclaimed Chestnut design is also available in random plank sizes for a striking and unique floor design.

Suitable for a wide range of commercial settings, Karndean’s flooring features intricate patterns and embossed surfaces, with all the benefits of luxury vinyl for hard-wearing flooring that retains its attractive appearance for years to come.
