Second Skin, the project by Zed1 during the 82° Mostra dell’Artigianato

 

Saturday 21st April, during the inauguration of Art can change the world, the art exhibition curated by Florence Biennale in collaboration with Street Levels Gallery, the Municipality of Florence and Firenze Fiera on the occasion of the 82° Mostra dell’Artigianato, it was presented Second Skin, a street art project by Zed1.

The Tuscan street artist Zed1 – well known for his provocative achievements – created a Second Skin mural revealed during the inauguration, when visitors tore off pieces of the “second skin” revealing the “first skin”, the original painted mural.

AGONY AND FREEDOM is the title of the panel dedicated to the the street artist job, commonly seen as a bad guy who does not need to work.

A JOURNEY TO MEET NEW STYLES, one of the great advantages of being an urban artist, is travelling and exploring new lands where you can meet other artists, new styles, and get inspirations from different artistic production.

BEHIND EVERY BOMBING THERE IS AN ARTIST WHO IS UNBOUNDING, the “bombing” is the practice of spreading tags on walls. Normally a young guy who approaches the spray can always start with simple writings or tags. It is considered the first step in the world of graffiti writing and street art.

PRESERVE LOVE shows how art has always been one of the best ways to tell love. But even the artists need to always save love for art itself, despite all the difficulties, in the good and bad times of their life and carrier.
