The exhibition GERMAN DESIGN SPIRIT – BEST OF BAVARIA will showcase products and projects developed by successful companies in Bavaria representing a variety of outlooks on contemporary German design.

Building on the unique traditions of the Bauhaus and Werkbund schools, the culture of design in Germany has evolved into a pillar of support for economic success.

With its varied business landscape and thanks to its excellent agencies, Bavaria has a myriad of contact points for design services. Good design is characterized by high quality and the power to innovate. It deals critically with the needs of our society and our environment. Good design takes into consideration the responsible exploitation of resources and makes technologies understandable in today’s globalized world. Today, to design means to assume responsibility.

The exhibition will premiere at the end of October 2014 at the "City of Design" in Shenzhen, China. Conceived as a traveling exhibition, it highlights outstanding performance in the design sector.
