北京国际设计周(简称“设计周”)始于2009年,至今已成功举办十六届,现已成为亚洲规模最大、最具影响力的创意设计展示、推介、交流与交易平台。作为与米兰设计周、巴黎设计周齐名的世界三大城市创意设计活动之一,设计周是北京建设全国文化中心、国际科技创新中心与国际交往中心的重要载体,持续在推动文化科技融合、赋能文化产业高质量发展、促进文旅消费升级、助力中华优秀传统文化创新等方面发挥关键作用,已成为服务首都高质量发展、培育文化新质生产力的重要引擎。

北京国际设计周始终秉持开放、创新、共享的宗旨,联合全球设计资源、行业机构与市场主体,共同推动设计思想创新、资源整合与产业落地,构建“创意研发—展示推广—交易合作—产业落地”的完整生态。设计周聚焦文化科技融合、制造业转型升级、文化遗产活化利用、城乡可持续发展、人居环境优化、文旅消费提质等重点领域,践行“设计为民生、设计促发展”的使命,助力文化强国与全国文化中心建设,持续提升中国设计的国际影响力与竞争力。

Beijing Design Week (hereinafter re-ferred to as “Design Week”) was first held in 2009 and has been successfully staged for 16 editions. It has evolved into Asia’s largest and most influential platform for the exhibition, promotion, exchange and trading of creative design. Ranking alongside Milan Design Week and Paris Design Week as one of the world’s three major urban creative design events, Design Week serves as a vital carrier for Beijing to develop a national cultural center, a global center for scientific and technological innovation, and an international hub for exchanges. It plays a pivotal role in advancing the integration of culture and technology, boosting high-quality development of cultural industries, upgrading cultural tourism consumption, and facilitating the innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture. As a core engine supporting high-quality development of the capital, it fosters new cultural productive forces.

Adhering to the mission of openness, innovation and sharing, Beijing Design Week collaborates with global design resources, industrial institutions and market entities to drive innovation in design thinking, resource integration and industrial implementation, building a full-chain ecosystem covering creative research and development, exhibition and promotion, trade and cooperation, as well as industrial incubation and landing. Centering on key sectors including cultural-tech integration, manufacturing transformation and upgrading, revitalization and sustainable utilization of cultural heritage, sustainable urban-rural development, optimization of living environments, and high-quality cultural tourism consumption, Design Week lives up to its mission of "Design for People’s Wellbeing, Design for Sound Development". It contributes to building a great socialist cultural power and a national cultural center, and consistently elevates the international influence and competitiveness of Chinese design worldwide.
