The third
edition of the Age of Wonderland has begun. Age of Wonderland is a knowledge project
in which creatives, the so-called ‘fellows’, from Africa, Asia and South
America get to work on a number of social themes. The six artists and creatives
from Indonesia, Tanzania, Chilli, Guatemala and Iran have just been announced. Upon
the invitation of Hivos and Baltan Laboratories they are going to research and
develop ideas and scenarios concerning big & open data during an incubation
week in the Netherlands. The fellows will present the results during Dutch
Design Week, where the public can take an active role in the work and thought

Iman Abdurrahman (1977, Indonesia) studies journalism at the STIKOM, the Communication Science College in Bandung. He worked as a reporter, producer and programme manager for several community radios, and has a strong interest in the role of community radio on disaster management, especially in Indonesia and Japan. Recently he has become affiliated with the Community Radio School in Bandung as a director.

Paz Bernaldo (1982, Chile) studied philosophy and social sciences. Bernaldo has worked on local development projects, with vulnerable communities and multidisciplinary teams in Chile, Guatemala and England for over eight years.

Ali Eslami (1991, Iran) lives in Teheran. He studied civil engineering before he became a computer artist and uses 3D applications for architectonical environments, and recently for animations, computer graphics, interactive prototypes and data visualisation.

Ng’winula ‘Unu’ Kingamkono (1989, Tanzania) has a BA in information systems from the University of Dodoma. He is associated with Thinkers Technologies & Consultants, an app-development enterprise and the Buni Innovation Hub in Dar Es Salam. Buni Innovation Hub discovers, nurtures and mentors youths with innovative technological solutions to move Tanzania forward.

Branly López (1975, Guatemala) has a degree in urban planning and communication and is the director of Cuidad de la Imgaginacion (City of Imagination): a laboratory of design, Mayan philosophy and art in Quetzaltenango.

Budi Prakosa (1985, Indonesia) is an industrial engineer with an interest in experimental audiovisual performances, generative art and web technology. He has a keen interest in interdisciplinary collaborations between science and art. As a self-taught programmer, Prakosa is exploring the wide range of possibilities in creative coding. Furthermore he is co-founder of Lifepatch, a citizen initiative in art, science and technology.
