Cette année la Paris Design Week participe à la création d’événements spéciaux dans toute la capitale et notamment au cœur du Marais, proposant des expositions inédites dans des lieux insolites.

Archives Nationales

UBLIK (a collective of young designers) presents I AM A STOOL in the courtyard of the Hôtel de Soubise, which is home to the national archives. The idea behind this 5-metre high stool is to give rise to a new point of view by turning a chair into a monument and finding meaning in the way we apprehend an object and its function, especially here where you must be standing to appreciate the value of something designed for sitting. This Paris Design Week venue will also host an exhibition by Bartolomé Togo during the Traversées du Marais on September 6th, 7th and 8th 2019.

Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris

Students from the Ateliers de Paris present an outdoor exhibition in the main courtyard of Paris’ historical library. This large courtyard, which is also a Paris Design Week venue, will be a place where visitors can choose to meet up and relax, while taking advantage of the colourful and comfortable outdoor furniture provided for the event by Fatboy, Qeeboo and Fermob.
